Day 01 Arrival in Xian
Arrival in Xian, met by the guide and driver, and transfer to the Bell Tower Hotel for two nights.

Day 02 Xian
Full day touring to: Terra-cotta soliders, Hot Spring Pool, Big Goose Pagoda, City Wall, Bell Tower, the Muslim Quarter and the Great Mosque. Dumpling Dinner.(B/L/D)

Day 03 Xian -- Lanzhou
City touring to: Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum. Departure transferred to the airport for the flight from Xian to Lanzhou, met and transfer to Lanzhou International hotel for one night, afternoon touring to White Pagoda Park (here you can have the bird-eye view of Lanzhou city), Yellow River, and the Iron Bridge (this is the first bridge over Yellow River, built about 80 year ago ). Day 04 Lanzhou--Xiahe
Morning excursion to Liujia Gorge, take the fast speed boat across the Gorge Resevoir (this is the first reservoir built on Yellow River), and visit the Bing Ling Temple ( very old temple with buddha grottoes ), in the late afternoon, drive from Bingling temple to XiaHe ( five hours drive ), over night at the Laprung Hotel. Xiahe is very famous for its old Laprung Temple, Tibeten people is the big population here. (B/L)

Day 05 Xiahe--Lanzhou
Visit the Laprung Temple in the morning, and drive back to Lanzhou ( six hours on road ) in the afternoon, overnight at the Internatioal hotel. Local cuisine dinner. (B/L/D)

Day 06 Lanzhou--Wuwei
Morning drive from Lanzhou to Wuwei (four hours drive), ovenight at the Tianma hotel of Wuwei. PM touring to: Lei Tai (ancient Han dynasty tomb site), Han Dynasty Tomb, Wen Miao Temple ( this is like a museum, Western Xia dynasty ever existed in that area for a long time, but disappeared in Song Dynasty. In this museum, you can see many of the antiques left from Western Xia dynasty). (B/L)

Day 07 Wuwei--Zhangye
Morning drive from Wuwei to Zhangye ( three and half hours driving on road, here is the desert area except for the road), overnight at Zhangye hotel. PM touring to Giant Buddha of Zhangye (26 meters long, sleeping statue, the longest indoor statue in China, made in Tang Dynasty), Wood Pagoda Temple (this was made in Tang Dynasty too, the biggest wood structure pagoda in China ). Day 08 Zhangye--Jiayuguan
Morning drive from Zhangye to Jiayuguan (three hours drive on road, through desert area ), overnight at Great Wall hotel. PM touring to: Jiuquan Park (the very famous general Huo Qu Bing in Western Han Dynasty buried here), the Watching Tower on the Jiayuguan Great Wall, the Suspension Great Wall, the underground Tomb with frescoes left from Wei and Jin dynasty. Day 09 Jiayuguan to An Xi
Morning drive from Jiayuguan to An Xi ( three hours drive through the desert area ), overnight at An Xi hotel. PM touring to Yu Lin Grottoes ( as famous as Dunhuang Mogao grottoes, made roughly in the same time as Mogao in 4th century. Newly opened to public, and protected quite better ). (B/L)

Day 10 An Xi--Dunhuang
Morning drive from An Xi to Dunhuang ( two hours drive through desert ), two nights at Grand Sun hotel Dunhuang. PM touring to: Yang Guan Pass ( very famous ancient pass ), Yumen Pass ( very famous ancient pass too ), Han Dynasty Great Wall ( ancient Great Wall left from Han ), He Chang Ancient city ruins. Local cuisine dinner. (B/L/D)

Day 11 Dunhuang
Still in Dunhuang today. Touring to Mogao Grottoes, Singing Sand Hill, Moon Crest Spring. (B/L)

Day 12 Dunhuang--Turpan
Day touring in Dunhuang to White Horse Pagoda, City Museum, city view. Transfer you to the Liu Yuan Station ( one and half hour ) for the train from Dunhuang to Turpan by soft sleeper. (B/L/D)

Day 13 Turpan
Morning arrival in Turpan, met by the local guide and driver, and transfer you to Turpan hotel for two nights. Excursion to Jiaohe Ancient City Ruins, Gangchang ancient city ruins, Thousands of Buddha Caves, Astana Tomb. (B/L)

Day 14 Turpan
Full day touring to: City Museum, Desert Botanical Garden, Grape Yard, Mosque, Sugong Pagoda, free time. (B/L)

Day 15 Turpan--Urumqi
Morning drive from Turpan to Urumqi (three hours), and afternoon drive from Urumqi to Heavenly Lake, take a boat ride on the lake, back to Urumqi, staying at the City hotel for two nights. (B/L)

Day 16 Urumqi—Nanshan-Urumqi
Excursion to Nanshan mountain (one and half hour drive) have visit the pastureland, visit the yurt family, and have the pasture activity there ( riding horse etc ), returning to Urumqi in the late afternoon. (B/L/D)

Day 17 Depart Urumqi
Departure transfer you to the airport for the flight back home from Urumqi.(B)
