The
Dragon Pavilion in
Kaifeng was originally a
part of the palace of
the Jin Dynasty and then
submerged by flood. In
the 31st year under the
reign of Emperor Kangxi
of the Qing Dynasty
(1692), the Wanshou
(longevity) Pavilion was
set up here to lay the
memorial tablets of the
emperors and began to be
called "the Dragon
Pavilion". The present
Dragon Pavilion was the
audience hall of the
Wanshou palace then. |
